The Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library, founded in 1976, is a non-profit support group that raises funds for the library. It’s sole purpose is to enhance the quality of the Library’s services and collections through its memberships and fundraising activities. The moneys earned in these activities are used to purchase additional books and equipment.

The Friends have a bookstore located in the gallery of the library. Bookstore hours are Monday—Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. The Friends can be reached at (863) 292-0540.

Friends board meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Meeting Room.

The Friends publish a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter is mailed to all members.

The annual “Be a Library Sweetheart” magazine drive is held every February. Patrons may purchase a magazine subscription for the library from a list.
