Baby Bookworm
is held on Wednesday mornings at 10.30 a.m.
from September 12 through May 15.  This program is designed to engage babies under the age of 2.  Activities include stories, finger plays and songs. Programs are held in the Story Hour Room located in the Children's Department, and last approximately 20-30 minutes.

Book Reviews & Clubs
Tuesday Book Club - 3rd Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise noted – denoted by *) at 4 p.m. in the Historical Conference Room of the Library.  Click here for book list/schedule.

Wednesday Book Review - 2nd Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, this group meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30 a.m. between October and March.  Click here for more information.

Computer Classes The Library will not be offering computer classes until possibly the Spring of 2013.  In the meantime, we recommend taking advantage of LearnFree.org This website offers a wide variety of tutorials as well as online classes that even provide a certificate upon completion.  Click here to learn more about LearnFree.org.

Excellence in Reading is a very successful program at the library. Children read specific books and are tested on a computer. There are a set number of books to read and incentives awarded along the way. Click here to for a list of reading titles.
 
Pre-school Story Hour is held on Wednesday mornings at 11 a.m. from September 12 through May 15. We invite both parent/caregiver and child to participate in this interactive reading experience. Programs are held in the Story Hour Room located in the Children's Department, and last approximately 30 - 40 minutes.  Story Hour is open to all children 5 and under.  Weekly programs are based on different themes using our puppet theater, flannel board, music and storytelling.

Saturday Afternoon Movies.  Enjoy free movies provided the second and fourth Saturday of the month in the Library’s movie theater at 2 p.m.  Movie titles are geared towards a family audience with a variety of G, PG and sometimes PG-13 ratings.  Refreshments are available for a small charge.

Summer Reading Program is a State Library of Florida sponsored program. This program is conducted throughout the summertime for children of all ages. Activities include: puppet shows, performers, storytellers,  reading logs and arts and crafts.
