Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, this group
meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30
a.m. from October through February.

Chit Chat & Interact
caregivers share interactive play time with children in
order to continue building early literacy skills taught
in story time.

Library will be offering technology classes beginning in
May in the new SEEDLab.
The schedule is still being finalized, but here are just
some of of the classes to be expected: Appy Hour, Create
a Flyer, Digital Photo Editing, Email Basics, Instagram,
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Pinterest, and
PowerPoint. When ready, a link to the schedule

Excellence in Reading
is a very successful
program at the library. Children read specific books and
are tested on a computer. There are a set number of
books to read and incentives awarded along the way.
The Excellence in Reading program
is for ages 5-17.

Little Sprouts Story Time
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11:00 & 11:30 a.m. in the
Story Hour Room through May 14, 2014. Children enjoy stories, songs, finger
plays and puppet shows that develop early literacy
skills and promote interaction between parents and

Saturday Afternoon Movies.
Enjoy free movies provided the second and fourth
Saturday of the month in the Library’s movie theater at
2 p.m. Movie titles are geared towards a family
audience with a variety of G, PG and sometimes PG-13
ratings. Refreshments are available for a small charge.

Summer Reading Program
is a State Library
of Florida sponsored program. This program is conducted
throughout the summertime for children of all ages.
Activities include: puppet shows, performers,
storytellers, reading logs and arts and crafts.
