Like to play chess? Don't know how? That's okay! The
Youth Services Department hosts a Chess Club on the 2nd
and 4th Friday of the month in the Youth Services
Department's Craft Room.

order to continue building early literacy skills taught
in story time.

Excellence in Reading
is a very successful
program at the library. Children read specific books and
are tested on a computer. There are a set number of
books to read and incentives awarded along the way.
The Excellence in Reading program
is for ages 5-17.
to for a list of reading titles.
We supply the Lego
blocks, you supply the imagination!
Creations will be displayed during the following week.
Ages 7-12. Lego Club meets every Tuesday at 4PM.
Little Sprouts Story Time
September through April on Tuesdays and Thursdays at
11:00AM. Children enjoy stories, songs,
finger plays and puppet shows that develop early
literacy skills and promote interaction between parents
hands-on event for kids. Learn, play and share the
world of Minecraft. Lego Minecraft and Minecraft
Pocket Edition on iPads will be featured. This program
occurs on the 3rd Friday of the month.
Saturday Afternoon Movies.
Enjoy free movies provided the second and fourth
Saturday of the month in the Library’s movie theater at
2 p.m. Movie titles are geared towards a family
audience with a variety of G, PG and sometimes PG-13
ratings. Refreshments are available for a small charge.

Summer Youth Programs
is a State Library
of Florida sponsored program. This program is conducted
throughout the summertime for children of all ages.
Activities include: puppet shows, performers,
storytellers, reading logs and arts and crafts.
